Christmas Strawberry Cake

Ingredients

• 1 box white cake
• 4 tablespoons flour
• 3/4 cup vegetable oil
• 3 eggs, beaten
• 1/2 cup water
• 1 package strawberry Jello
• 1 cup crushed, fresh or frozen strawberries
• 1 cup sugar (omit sugar if strawberries are already sweetened)

Method

Mix the cake mix, flour and Jello together, add water and oil, blend well. Add the beaten eggs and sugar and mix well. Add strawberries and stir until thoroughly blended. Pour into two or three greased floured cake pans. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.

Frosting

• 1 box confectioners sugar, sifted
• 1/2 cup melted butter
• crushed strawberries
• dash of salt

Add the melted butter to the confectioners sugar, then add enough crushed strawberries to make the mixture the consistency to spread on the cake.
