Split
Pea Soup (Pressure Cooker)
Ingredients
- 2 cups
dried split peas
- 2 onions
diced
- 1
tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 large
celery diced
- 1/4
teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4
teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 bay
leaf
- 3/4
teaspoon parsley
- 1/2
pound ham, smoked sausage or slab bacon, cut into small cubes
- 5-6 cups
water (bouillon cubes are a nice addition but not necessary)
- salt and
pepper to taste
Method
Place all
ingredients except salt and pepper into pressure cooker. Bring to
pressure. Reduce heat and maintain pressure for 12 - 15 minutes. Slowly
release pressure as it may end up on your ceiling otherwise. Remove bay
leaf and add salt and pepper.
