Baked Apple Slices Ingredients

Method Peel, core and quarter apples and arrange in a shallow baking dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350°F, uncovered for 30 minutes. While apples are baking prepare topping. Combine sugar, cornstarch and water. Cook over medium heat until thickened and clear; remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Pour this over the apples and bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until the topping bubbles and the apples are completed cooked. Serve warm. On Thanksgiving, I use this as a side dish instead of a dessert. It's also great with any pork dish. |
