Pumpkin Pie Cake

Ingredients
Crust

  • 1 box (2 layer cake mix) save 1 cup for later
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
  • 1 egg

Filling

  • 1 can (13 oz) pumpkin
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar

Topping

  • 1 cup reserved cake mix
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup pecans

Method

Mix together the cake mix (except 1 cup), 1/2 cup butter and one egg. Mix together and press into 13 by 9 inch pan.
Filling: Mix together pumpkin, 3 eggs, evaporated milk, cinnamon and 1 cup sugar and pour over crust.
Topping: Mix all ingredients except pecans until a crumbly texture. Sprinkle over filling. Place pecans on top. Bake at 350
°F for one hour and fifteen minutes.
