Chef's Salad

Ingredients
  • 1 quart torn salad greens
  • 3-4 tomatoes peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup sliced radishes
  • 1 green pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 peeled avocado, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken or ham, in julienne strips
  • 6 hard cooked eggs, sliced
  • 1/2 pound Swiss cheese in strips
  • 1/2 cup Italian Dressing

Method

Wash greens thoroughly, pat dry and place in wooden bowl rubbed with garlic. Add tomatoes and all remaining ingredients. Toss together lightly but thoroughly with dressing. For a good chef's salad choose at least 3 of the following greens: leaf or head lettuce, romaine, endive, spinach, escarole, watercress.
