Basic Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 3 cups vegetable
oil
- 8 fluid oz
vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon
salt, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon
black pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon dry
mustard, optional
- 2 tablespoons
fine herbs, optional
- 2 tablespoons
fresh herbs; chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon
granulated sugar, optional
Method
Combine all of the
ingredients and whisk them until they are thoroughly blended. Adjust the
seasoning with additional salt, pepper or sugar.
