Vegetables with Dips

Use tiny snow white cauliflower, Spanish onion rings, green pepper rings, tomato wedges or cherry tomatoes, radishes roses, tiny broccoli tops, carrot curls, celery sticks  in other words your favorite veggies and make a creamy dip.

Dip

  • 1 package dry onion soup mix

  • 2 cups dairy sour cream

  • 2 teaspoons chopped chives or green onion

  • few drops Tabasco

Combine all ingredients. Chill.
Yield: about 2 cups

Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing

In a blender blend

  • 1/4 cup blue cheese

  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream

  • 1/4 cup half and half cream

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Combine well then pour into a bowl and stir in

  • 3 drops Tabasco

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoon red wine vinegar

  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar

  • pepper and salt to taste

  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese

Curried Onion Dip

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 large green onion with tops, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet peppers (red, green and/or yellow

  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder

In a small bowl, stir the cream, mayonnaise and all other ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour prior to serving.

Yields: about 1 1/2 cups

To make this dip as fat free as possible use fat free sour cream and reduced fat mayonnaise and 1% milk, you will not be able to tell the difference.
