Freezer Frosting
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 4 1/2 sugar (to 5 cups confectioners , divided)
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cream (whipping )

In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening, 1 cup of sugar, vanilla and salt. Add the rest of the sugar gradually alternating with cream and whip until desired consistency. Place in a freezer bag and freeze up to 2 months. Thaw well before planning to use. Yield: enough frosting to frost a sheet cake or 2 layer cakes or 2 dozen cupcakes
