Banana Spit Pie



Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoon butter ( or margarine)
- 1/3 cup corn (starch)
- 2 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla ( extract)
- 2 banana (medium s, sliced)
- 2 egg ( yolks, slightly beaten)
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa (hershey's )
Directions:
In medium saucepan, stir together sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt. Stir together milk and egg yolks; gradually stir into sugar mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and come to a boil. Reduce heat to low; boil, stirring constantly, 3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Press plastic wrap directly onto filling; cool about 20 minutes. Arrange banana slices over bottom of Crumb Nut Crust. Pour filling over bananas; press plastic wrap onto filling. Refrigerate 3 to 4 hours. Remove plastic wrap; top pie with whipped topping. Garnish with chopped peanuts, banana slice and maraschino cherries. Refrigerate leftover pie. Yield: 8 servings Crumb Nut Crust 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs 1/4 cup finely chopped peanuts 1/3 cup butter or margarine melted Method In medium bowl, stir together graham cracker crumbs, peanuts and butter. Press mixture on bottom and up sides of 9 inch pie plate. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in a 350°F preheated oven. Origin: Hershey's Chocolate Lovers
