Dutch Apple Pie 1



Ingredients:
- 2 cup flour (all purpose )
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 tablespoon water (cold )
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon vinegar (white )
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon juice (lemon )
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoon flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Toss sliced apples in white sugar, flour, lemon juice, salt and cinnamon and nutmeg. Place in pie shell. Topping, cut in 1/3-cup butter into 2/3-cup flour, and 1/3-cup brown sugar. Pat over top of pie and bake until golden brown and fruit is soft. Submitted by: D. Vandermey
