Apple Cinnamon Crumb Pie



Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (firmly packed )
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom (ground cardamon)
- 1 pie crust (pastry crust)
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (firmly packed )
- 1 tablespoon flour (all purpose )
- 1 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 6 cup apples (thinly sliced, peeled tart )
- 2 tablespoon butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF. In large bowl stir together ½ cup brown sugar, flour, ¾ teaspoon cinnamon and cardamon. Add apple slices, toss well to coat. Line 9-inch pie plate with crust, leaving ½ inch edge to crimp. Spoon apples into crust. Stir together 2/3-cup brown sugar. ½ cup flour and ½ teaspoon cinnamon, sprinkle over apples. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until fruit is tender and golden. Cool 2 hours before serving. Submitted by: L. Harrison
