Taffy



Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup corn (light syrup)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Butter a large platter. Stir together the ingredients in a large saucepan. Heat slowly until boiling, stirring constantly. Cook without stirring to hard ball stage or 260°F on candy thermometer. Pour at once onto platter. Butter hands and pull until you get so you can't pull it any more. Put on wax paper. Cut or break into pieces.
