- 1/3 cup brown sugar (plus 3/4 cup packed , divided)
- 1 cup milk (evaporated )
- 1 tablespoon flour (all purpose )
- 1 can pumpkin ((16 ounce) solid packed )
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla ( extract)
- 2 egg (s)
- 1/2 cup pecan (chopped s)
- 9 pie crust (inch pie)
- 1 cup milk (evaporated )

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll out and fit dough into pie pan. Fold edges under; flute. Combine nuts, flour and 1/3 cup sugar; sprinkle over crust. In bowl combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, vanilla, salt and remaining sugar. Pour over nut mixture in crust. Bake 50 - 60 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool completely on rack. Garnish with sweetened whipped cream and pecans, if desired. Yield: 12 servings. Note: Replace the vanilla extract in this pie with 1/2 teaspoon maple extract and you have Maple Praline Pumpkin Pie
