Main Recipe Thanksgiving Maple Pumpkin Pie



Ingredients:
- 6 tablespoon butter ( flavor shortening)
- 1 pumpkin ((16 ounce) can solid pack )
- 1 cup cream (heavy or whipping )
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed light )
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (ground )
- 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (ground )
- 1/4 teaspoon clove (ground s)
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger (ground )
- 3 egg (large s)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pie crust ((9 inch ) baked )
Directions:
In a large bowl, with wire whisk, beat pumpkin, remaining ingredients and 1/2 teaspoon salt until well mixed. Pour pumpkin mixture into crust. Cover edge of crust with foil to prevent over browning. Bake 1 hour 10 minutes at 350 °F or until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean. Cool pie on wire rack 1 1/2 hours.
