French Silk Pie

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) pastry shell; baked
1 pound butter
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
4 squares bitter chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

Cream butter for 20 minutes. Add sugar, cream 20 minutes more. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 5 minutes after each addition. Add melted chocolate, beat 5 minutes. Add vanilla, beat 5 minutes. Pour into baked pie shell. Chill over night. Top, if desired, with unsweetened whipped cream and chocolate curls.
