Banana Spit Pie Ingredients
Method In
medium saucepan, stir together sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt. Stir
together milk and egg yolks; gradually stir into sugar mixture. Cook
over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and come
to a boil. Reduce heat to low; boil, stirring constantly, 3
minutes. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Press
plastic wrap directly onto filling; cool about 20 minutes. Arrange
banana slices over bottom of Crumb Nut Crust. Pour filling over bananas;
press plastic wrap onto filling. Refrigerate 3 to 4 hours. Remove
plastic wrap; top pie with whipped topping. Garnish with chopped
peanuts, banana slice and maraschino cherries. Refrigerate leftover pie. Yield:
8 servings
Crumb Nut Crust
Method In medium bowl, stir together graham cracker crumbs, peanuts and butter. Press mixture on bottom and up sides of 9 inch pie plate. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in a 350°F preheated oven. Origin: Hershey's Chocolate Lovers |
