Flappers Pie 

Ingredients

  • 14 graham wafers rolled fine 
  • 1/4 cup melted mutter 1/4 cup sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • Combine and reserve 1/2 cup for top of pie. 
  • Use balance to line pie pan. 

Filling 
 

  • 2 cups milk 
  • 2 egg yolks 
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 1/4 cup sugar 

Method 
Combine ingredients in 1-quart saucepan.  Bring to a boil and cook until thick. While hot, spread over piecrust. 

Topping 

  • 2 egg whites 
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar 
Beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Add sugar gradually, beating as you add. Spread over filling and sprinkle crumbs over top. Bake at 325ºF, for 20 minutes.
