cup shortening

cup boiling water

all purpose flour

baking powder
Method
Place
shortening in bowl; add water and beat with rotary or electric mixer until
cooled and creamy.
Stir
in flour, salt and baking powder together; add all at once to shortening
and stir until well mixed.
Work
dough lightly to shape into a round disc, then roll out to 1/8 inch thickness.
Yield:
Makes two 8 or 9 inch single shell or one 9 inch double pie.
