Popovers  

 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup all purpose flour 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 cup milk 
  • 1 teaspoon melted butter or margarine 
  • 2 eggs 
Method 

Stir together flour and salt; gradually add milk, stirring constantly. 
Add melted butter or margarine. 
Beat eggs well until light in color and foamy; add to mixture. 
Beat 2 minutes with electric beater. 
Fill hot, greased muffin pans 2/3 full. 
Bake in very hot oven (450F) 15 minutes; reduce to moderate (350f) and continue baking 10 to 15 minutes or until evenly browned. 
Serve hot. 

Yield: 8 medium size popovers
