Apple and Maple Syrup Pie

 

Ingredients 

  • 1 pie crust
  • 4 apples peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon margarine

Method 

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the apples in the pie crust. In a blender, blend the maple syrup with the cornstarch. Pour the mixture into a saucepan with the margarine and cook over moderate heat, stirring until the mixture becomes very thick. Pour over the apples. Bake for about 45 minutes.
