Ingredients

• 3/4 cup brown sugar 
• 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened 
• 1 egg 
• 1/4 cup milk 
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 
• 1 1/4 cups flour 
• 1/2 cup nuts, chopped 
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces 

Set power select at medium. With electric mixer, cream sugar and butter; add egg, milk and vanilla. 
Stir in baking powder and flour until well blended; 
add nuts and 1/2 chocolate pieces. Into greased 8 inch round baking dish, spread batter; top with remaining chocolate. Heat 7 to 8 1/2 minutes or until center is almost set. Let stand, covered until cool. 

Yield: 8 bars
