Apple Scotch
Ingredients
- 1 can
(16 ounces) pie sliced apples
- 1/2
package (6 ounce) butterscotch flavored morsels
- 1
tablespoon quick cooking tapioca
- 1/2
tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup
all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup
sugar
- 1/2
teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup
firm butter or margarine
Method
Combine
apples, butterscotch morsels, and tapioca in a 1 quart micro proof
casserole. Sprinkle lemon juice over the top. Combine flour,
sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry
blender or two knives until mixture
resembles cornmeal. Sprinkle
over top of apple mixture. Cook, uncovered, on bake for 12 minutes,
or until hot. Serve warm with heavy cream or ice cream if desired.
