Homemade Jams and Jellies

Gooseberry Jam

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds gooseberry 
  • 2 1/2 cups water 
  • 9 1/4 cups sugar 


Method 

Bring the cleaned gooseberries and water to a boil 
and simmer until tender. 
Stir in the sugar and boil rapidly until setting point 
is reached. 
Pour into hot sterilized jars. 

Yield: 3  quarts.
