Ingredients

• 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter 
• 1/2 cup shortening 
• 1 cup white granulated sugar 
• 1 egg white; beaten foamy 
• 2/3 cup lukewarm water 
• 1 teaspoon vanilla 

Beat till creamed butter, shortening and sugar.  
Add egg white and beat well. Add milk and vanilla slowly and beat well (about 10 minutes). 

 Frosts:  2 - 9" layers or 1 -13x9" oblong
