French Silk Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups powdered sugar 
  • 1/3 cup margarine; softened 
  • 2 ounces melted unsweetened chocolate cooled 
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 2 tablespoons milk 


Method 

Beat sugar, margarine, chocolate and vanilla in small mixer bowl on low speed.  Add milk gradually; beat until smooth and fluffy. 

Yield: Frosts 2 nine inch layers or 3 eight inch 
layers.  

NOTE:  One bar (4 ounces) sweet cooking chocolate, melted and cooled, can be substituted for the unsweetened.
