Apple
Torte
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup
sugar
- 1 1/2
Tablespoon flour
- 2
tablespoons butter
- 1/4
teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/4
cups flour
- 1/2
teaspoon salt
- 1
teaspoon sugar
- 1
teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup
softened butter
- 1 egg
yolk
- 2
tablespoons milk
- 3 to 4
apples, peeled and sliced
Method
Combine
first four ingredients mixing thoroughly.
Sift together flour, salt,
sugar, and baking powder and combine with butter. Add egg yolk
mixed with milk. Pat into the bottom of a lightly greased and
floured 8 inch square pan. Arrange apples over crust. Top with
the crumbly cinnamon mixture.
Bake in a 375°F. oven for 45
minutes.
Serves 6.
