Crumble
Ingredient
- fruit of
any kind
- 1/2 cup
butter
- 1/2 cup
brown sugar
- 3/4 cup
all purpose flour
- 1/4
teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4
teaspoon cloves
Method
Cover
bottom of an 8 inch cake pan with a one inch layer of any
fruit prepared in the usual way.
Cream butter; add brown sugar
gradually, creaming well. Add flour and spices and mix to a crumbly
consistency. Crumble topping over fruit and bake in a moderate oven
350°F for 40 to 45 minutes or until fruit is cooked. Serve
plain or with whipped cream or ice cream.
NOTE: If
canned fruit is used, drain thoroughly.
