French Pears

Ingredient

  • 1 (14 ounce) can pear halves 
  • 2 cups orange juice 
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange rind 
  • 2 oranges, peeled and sliced 
  • 1 recipe Custard Sauce 
Method 

Drain pears and cover with orange juice; chill thoroughly. Drain pears again and arrange in individual dessert dishes. Surround with Custard Sauce and garnish with orange rind and thin orange slices. 
  

Yield: 5 - 6 servings
