Ingredients

8 tablespoons
all purpose flour

cup sugar

grains salt

cups boiling water

2 egg
yolks, well beaten

1 tablespoon
lemon juice

1/2
cup orange juice

grated
rind of 1 orange

2 tablespoons
whipping cream

3 tablespoons
butter
Method
Blend
flour, sugar and salt thoroughly in top of double boiler.
Add
1/4 cup of the boiling water and beat until smooth.
Add
remaining water and cook until thick, over boiling water (about 20 minutes).
Add
a little of the hot mixture to the beaten egg yolks and return to mixture.
Cook
2 minutes longer.
Stir
in remaining ingredients.
Cool,
then spread between layers of cake.
Yield:
enough for large layer cake.
