brandy (optional)
Method
Cream
butter; gradually add sugars, beating thoroughly.
Slowly
add cream and vanilla, beating constantly.
Pile
into sauce dish.
Make
a well in center; add brandy and let sit until brandy is all soaked up.
Chill
well before serving.
Lemon
Hard Sauce
Add
1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind.
Spicy
Hard Sauce
Add
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon cloves.
Yield:
1 1/2 cup.
