Fork Cookies

Coconut or Black Walnut 
Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of sugar 
  • 1 cup butter 
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1/2 cup milk 
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 4 cups flour 
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla 
  • 1/4 pound shredded coconut 

Method

Cream sugar, butter, eggs, milk and vanilla. 
Stir dry ingredients together and slowly add to creamed mixture. Add coconut and blend well. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet, pat with a fork dipped into milk. Sprinkle with granulated sugar to produce a gloss. Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 350° F. 

Note: To make Black Walnut Cookies 
Use same recipe as above only use 1 cup black walnuts in place of coconut.
