Chocolate
Peanut Butter Balls
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup
margarine
- 1 cup
crunchy peanut butter
- 2 cups
rice krispies cereal
- 1 cup
confectioners sugar (sifted)
- 1 (12
ounce) package semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1
tablespoon shortening
Method
In
large bowl, combine softened margarine and peanut butter. Mix well. Add
cereal and sugar, mix until thoroughly combined.
Using desired measuring spoon
(tablespoon or teaspoon), portion mixture. Roll into balls.
Set aside. Melt chocolate
chips and shortening in the top of a double boiler.
Dip each peanut butter ball in
chocolate, roll to coat well. Place on waxed paper lined cookie
sheet. Refrigerate until firm.
Yield: 32
tablespoon sized balls.
