Chocolate Snickerdoodles
Ingredients
- 2
teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2
cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup
butter or margarine, softened
- 1
teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups
all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup
cocoa
- 1
teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2
teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4
teaspoon salt
- 2
tablespoons white sugar
Method
Preheat
oven to 400° F. Combine white sugar, butter or margarine, vanilla
and eggs.
Mix well. Stir in cocoa,
cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Blend well. Shape dough
into 1 inch balls. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons
ground cinnamon. Roll dough in sugar/cinnamon mixture and place 2
inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or
until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
