Gingersnaps
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup
shortening
- 1 cup
sugar
- 1/4 cup
light molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 cups
flour
- 2
teaspoons soda
- 1
teaspoon cinnamon
- 1
teaspoon ginger
- 1/2
teaspoon cloves
- Pinch of
salt
Method
Cream
shortening, molasses and sugar.
Add egg and beat well.
Sift dry ingredients and add,
mixing well. Roll
into small balls.
Dip in sugar and place two
inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake
at 375° F for 15 minutes.
