Silk Fudge
Ingredients
- 2 cups
powdered sugar
- 2/3 cup
cream or 1 small can (5 fl. oz) evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup
butter
- 3 cups
semi sweet chocolate chips (18 oz bag)
- 2 cups
miniature marshmallows
- 2
tablespoons vanilla
- 1 cup
chopped nuts
Method
Conventional Method Combine
powdered sugar and milk in a heavy bottom pan. Stir constantly and bring
to a boil, and let boil for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir in butter, marshmallows,
chocolate chips and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Microwave
Method My granddaughter
loves to make fudge and I find this is a easy one for her and I to do in
the microwave. In a
large glass bowl, combine sugar and milk and microwave on full power for 3
minutes; remove and stir. Return and cook an additional 3 minutes on full
power. Remove and add butter, marshmallows, chocolate and vanilla. Mix
well. Stir in nuts and pour into a buttered 8 by 11 inch pan. Chill and
into small pieces. Yield:
about 2 pounds
