Sugar Candy
Ingredients
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup nuts
Method
Mix milk, butter and 2
cups sugar in saucepan, heating to boiling point. Melt 1 cup sugar in
saucepan stirring constantly, once melted pour into the milk, butter, and
sugarmixture. Cook to soft ball stage. Add vanilla and
nuts; beat until very firm. Pour into butter 9 inch square pan.
Yield 40 pieces
