Snowy White Cake
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup
shortening or butter
- 1 3/4
cup sugar
- 1 1/3
cup milk
- 2 2/3
cup all purpose flour
- 3/4
teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2
teaspoon baking powder
- 2
teaspoon flavoring (vanilla, or flavoring of your choice)
- 4 egg
whites, stiffly beaten
Method
Cream
shortening and sugar together.
Sift together dry ingredients. Add
milk alternately with flour mixture to shortening.
Fold in egg whites. Add
flavoring. Pour into greased and floured 9 inch layer pans and bake
in 350°F for 30-35 minutes or until tests done.
Cool
and frost with your favorite
frosting.
