Cocktail Cake
Ingredients
- 1 1/2
cups sugar
- 2
teaspoons soda
- 1/4
teaspoon salt
- 1
teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups
flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2
cups (or 1 large can) fruit cocktail, drained
- 1/2 cup
chopped nuts
ICING
- 3/4 cup
sugar
- 1/2 cup
butter
- 1/2 cup
Pet milk
- 1
teaspoon vanilla
- whipped
cream
- cherries
Method
Mix
first 8 ingredients in order listed. Place in 9 x 13 inch greased
and floured pan. Mix nuts and brown sugar and sprinkle on cake;
bake at 350°F, for 40 minutes or until it tests done.
Icing
Boil 1 minute; remove from
heat. Add vanilla; spoon over cake (it will be very thin). Serve
with whipped cream and cherry
