Cake
Ingredients
- 1 yellow
cake mix
- 1 can
cherry pie filling
- 1 can
crushed pineapple
- 1 stick
oleo (butter or margarine)
- 1 cup
whole pecans
Method
Preheat
oven to 350°F; grease an oblong cake pan. Using cans of pineapple
and cherry pie filling, spread the crushed pineapple
(include the juice) on the
bottom of the pan.
Now spread the cherry pie
filling over or around the pineapple. Sprinkle the dry cake mix
over the top. Place whole or chopped pecans over the cake mix. On
top of the pecans place thin slice of butter or oleo about ½ inch
apart. Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown. You can
substitute any fruit that you like. If you use apple pie filling
sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the fruit.
