Chocolate Sheet Cake

• 2 cups flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 eggs lightly beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup sour cream or 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 2 sticks butter or margarine
• 4 tablespoons cocoa
• 1 cup water

Method

Mix together flour and sugar. Place 2 sticks butter, 4 tablespoons cocoa and 1 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Pour over flour and sugar mixture. Mix well. Add all other ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured deep cookie sheet pan, 15 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches. Bake at 350°F for 23 minutes. Frost while cake is hot
