Peach Cake 1
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking
powder
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 5 large peaches,
peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter,
melted
Cinnamon Sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease and flour 15 to 10 inch jelly roll pan, or 13 by 9 by 2 inch pan
and 1 (8-inch) cake pan. Blend 1 tablespoon butter, sugar, flour, baking
powder and milk in mixing bowl. Spread in prepared pans. For cinnamon
sugar, stir together sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of cinnamon sugar
lightly over dough base. Arrange peach slices by rows on top of base.
Sprinkle remaining cinnamon sugar over top. Drizzle melted butter over
all. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Serves 6
Note: For a thicker cake
omit 8 inch cake pan and use 13 by 9 by 2 inch pan only.
