Watermelon
Slush
Ingredients
- 6 cups
seeded watermelon cubes
- 1/2 cup
sugar
- 1/4
teaspoon grated lemon or orange peel
- 2
tablespoons lemon or orange juice
- mint
sprigs
Method
In a
blender combine watermelon, sugar, peel and juice and whirl until
smooth.
Transfer to a 9 by 12 inch
cake tin and place in freezer. Freeze
until a solid border has frozen around the edge, but middle is still
mushy. (about 1 1/2 to 2 hours) Transfer
to blender and whirl again until smooth.
spoon immediately into tall,
chilled glasses and garnish with mint. If
not serving immediately, refreeze. Remove
from freezer 15 minutes before serving time and place in refrigerator to
soften. Then blend.
