Chocolate Syrup
Melt chocolate over hot water. Add boiling water and cook over direct heat, stirring constantly, until thickened; about 2 or 3 minutes. Stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt; cook 5 minutes more, stirring constantly. Store in airtight jars. YIELD: 2 CUPS NOTE: Use for making hot chocolate, chocolate milk, chocolate milkshakes. Allow 1 to 2 tablespoons of syrup per cup of milk. |
